Tokyo is the most-talked-about celebrity vacation destination online

  1. Kim Kardashian’s Tokyo vacation – 4,630 Google News articles
    Being one of the most followed people on Instagram (361 million), it’s no surprise that Kim Kardashian tops the list. The American media personality and businesswoman visited Tokyo, Japan, in August 2023 with her eldest child, North. It seems as though the pair’s vacation piqued the media’s interest, as there were 4,630 articles written about it on Google News. Some of the news outlets that reported on Kim and North’s trip to Tokyo include People and E! Online.
  2. Taylor Swift’s Bahamas vacation – 3,470 Google News articles
    In second place is pop princess Taylor Swift, who visited the Bahamas with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in March 2024. The singer and American football player spent their vacation on Harbour Island, which is famous for its three-mile-long pink sandy beach. Taylor’s current popularity with the media is reflected in the 3,470 Google News articles written about her Bahamas trip, including those written by Fox News and MSN.
  3. Dua Lipa’s Kosovo vacation – 705 Google News articles
    Dua Lipa’s recent trip to her home country, Kosovo, comes in third place with 705 Google News articles. The singer and her father, Dukagjin Lipa, flew to the city of Pristina in July 2024 to enjoy all of the fun and music at Sunny Hill Festival. Cancun, Mexico

If you’re looking for a cheaper Harbour Island dupe, then Cancun, Mexico, is a great option. The city is well-known for its downtown area and long beachfront strip, as well as being incredibly popular during the spring break period. 

Tourists flying to Cancun from LAX Airport can expect to pay around $577 (£453 or €528). Other options include flying from JFK Airport for around $797 (£625 or €728) or flying from London Heathrow Airport for around $1,103 (£865 or €1,008). A stay in a five-star hotel in the city usually costs around $444 (£348 or €405) per night.

However, hotels and activities are considerably cheaper in Valencia. You can expect to pay around $382 (£300 or €348) per night for a stay in a five-star hotel in the city. If you fancy an itinerary just like Chris’, then you can expect to pay approximately $13 (£10 or €12) to hire an electric bike for one hour and an entry fee of $10 (£8 or €9) to the Science Museum. If you’re on a budget but still want to devour a mouth-watering steak, then Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is a great option. Diners can enjoy a seven-course menu for $150 (£118 or €137). If you’re flying to Fukuoka from the U.S., then you can expect to pay around $1,084 (£848 or €985) from LAX Airport and around $1,909 (£1,494 or €1,735) from JFK Airport. Flights from London Heathrow Airport will set you back approximately $912 (£714 or €829). A stay in a five-star hotel in Fukuoka costs an average of $243 (£190 or €221) per night.
